Accessories with veils

I often get asked about which hair accessories work well with veils and I know many of you worry that your veil will affect the options you have available.

The truth is, the majority of accessories will work with veils so you have so many to choose from (which can also be completely overwhelming!).

Veils are attached to combs, which slot into your hair, so hair vines, pins and combs can easily be fitted above to cover your veil comb. Don’t worry, because your hair stylist will be used to working with veils and will know exactly what to do!

Here are my suggestions and how to wear them…

Hair vines can sit above the veil comb or across your head like a headband and are secured in place with hair grips through the loops at either end of the vine.
As hair vines are so flexible, they can be shaped around the veil comb easily.

Tiaras and headbands also work with veils and won’t interfere with the veil comb at all. Your hair stylist can style your hair to cover your veil comb if it’s visible in your hair.

Combs and hair pins slot seamlessly above your veil comb and, if planned well, can easily cover the plastic veil comb.
You could also get the veil comb itself beaded or have a design attached to it if you prefer!

Things to consider

You’ll most likely decide to remove your veil after the ceremony, so choose an accessory based on your chosen hair style for the big day, rather than purely to fit around your veil.
